Totally safe and proven effective! This is our tried-and-true formulation of Organic Citronella, Cedar, and Lemongrass Essential Oils, which have been used for centuries to naturally repel insects. An organic all natural product to repel the occasional bug, insect or mosquito. It smells good, feels good, and really works - without DEET, petrolatum, or other chemicals.

Directions for use: Apply to entire area of skin to be protected. Remember to reapply frequently for best protection against biting insects. Common sense warning: This natural mosquito repellent contains a high concentration of natural essential oils, and contact with eyes should be avoided. If you have sensitive skin, a skin patch test is recommended before full use. While this product is safe to use on children, please keep out of reach of and supervise application.

I think most that have used several of the Badger line of products (as I have) can attest to the fact that some simply do their job better than others. Like another reviewer mentioned, I too was skeptical at first, but this truly has to be one of their best products.It works as well (if not better) than any spray I have ever used, and I work outdoors every day, so that's saying a lot. It smells pretty good too. Think onw part citronella candle/torch and one part lemony citrus. And this may not always apply depending on the intensity of the bugs in your area, but I don't find applying it to the whole skin surface necessary, but rather, just blotting it on in popular bite areas (for me, the neck, ankles and elbows). Will buy again once I run out, but so far, the smaller of the two tins has lasted me months with months to go!

I was honestly a bit skeptical about how well this would work, especially with my usual experience with bugs. Living in Texas, it's not uncommon to get several bug bites just when picking up the mail. Well, after applying this awesome balm, I went on an hour-long walk in the park, and didn't get a single bug bite. I'm sold.
